January 4: My First “Something Is Off” Moment
January 12, 2026
For me, it wasn’t one dramatic symptom. It was a collection of small moments that didn’t make sense.
I was doing all the “right” things — moving my body, eating well, managing work and family — yet I felt constantly depleted. My sleep was lighter. My patience thinner. My body unfamiliar.
At first, I brushed it off as stress. Then I blamed myself for not handling things better. But deep down, I knew something had shifted.
Looking back, that was the beginning of perimenopause.
What I wish I had known then is that awareness changes everything. Once I stopped fighting my body and started supporting it, my relationship with movement, rest, and nourishment transformed.
Hot Flash Yoga exists because I know how isolating that moment can feel — and how powerful it is when you realize you don’t have to navigate it alone.
